I don't know how to review this. I adored the first book, really liked the second. But surprise/unplanned pregnancy plots are annoying, and Kate deserved better.

Kraken is the MVP for sure. I'll give it a 3.5, but rounding down to a 3⭐️ because I'm still a little salty.

Also these could do with better editing. I can overlook a lot, but it was rough at times.

The stakes were much higher than the previous two books. The cat is low key the star of the book. Lovely read.

Great ending to a fun series. I wish for more Fin and Annika time together in the same scenes and even their every day life. Rush a bit at the end. I am also on board for a Kraken book.

I love this series. I can’t get enough of the characters. Wonderful magic and laugh out loud moments.

DNFed 1/3 of the way in. The first two books had a good story and the characters were likeable…. Which made for a good easy read. But this last book was just a mess. The pacing was all off…. The amount of huge things that happened in the first 3rd of the book doubles what happened in the first two whole books. Also the storyline just jumped around… it didn’t make sense. I just felt like the author was pushing to find an ending… and a not very believable one at that.
