This series is everything it promises to be - a humorous romantic cozy fantasy. Even when there’s hard subjects discussed, it never felt too heavy or intense. The characters are well rounded and have hilarious interactions with one another and the storyline is pleasant and enjoyable! Definitely recommend this series!!

Unfortunately I drank up this series like water on the equator. Hopefully, the next person to pick this up can pace themselves better. I honestly loved this series so much! It was a perfect mashup of childhood nostalgia fantasy, with an adult lense. There was no damsel in distress nonsense or annoying miscommunication tropes or overly graphic trauma. Yet i felt like this was a well thought out execution of characters that feel real in the way that i felt pain when they did and laughed along with their nonsense. There are quite a few heavy topics & tense realities discussed for them and somehow the world still felt like a safe space.
I'm already on the spinoffs & I hope the hold up to heart of the main series.
