Awesome philosophy commentary! I loved the wide variety of philosophers highlighted and the insightful thoughts included. Recommend for anyone who has a little philosophy knowledge and interest and wants to expand those further.

This is not what you would call a typical philosophy book. There is no pretension to cover the history of philosophy in a rigorous way, rather, each chapter is a brushed up version of a podcast episode. Some of the greats are covered but others are left out, giving the reader the possibility of stumbling upon, or, if you're a listener to the podcast, remembering less famous gems.
A smattering of knowledge will help the reader to enjoy this book more fully, but the personalities and love for the topics shine though this potted history of western and eastern philosophy.
It's a fresh and engaging read.
