somewhere in the vicinity of 4-4.5 stars. definitely a favorite.

Adorable. I just want to squish both protagonists in my pocket and carry them around with me always.

Milá, poměrně krátká vánoční oddechovka, přečteno za dva dny... :))

Super cute and fluffy! I like that the romance took its time to bloom. There was more to this book than just a goopy romance, and I loved that. My only qualm was that the characters seemed a little unbelievable at times and also inconsistent. Especially Dash and Boomer. However, I expect that from Levithan's writing (which I really do not enjoy). Good book and a great story for the holidays.

Like eating a whole package of Oreos in one sitting. Satisfying and sweet. Mrs. Basil E. was my favorite.

Favorite Quotes:

Sofia was miffed. And if American girls make being miffed a sweet-and-sour emotion, European girls always manage to add an undercurrent of murder to it. At least in my limited experience.

It's like when you're starting to read. First, you learn the letters. Then, once you know what sounds the letters make, you use them to sound out words. You know that c-a-t leads to cat and d-o-g leads to dog. But then you have to make that extra leap, to understand that the word, the sound, the "cat" is connected to an actual cat, and that "dog" is connected to an actual dog. It's that leap, that understanding, that leads to meaning. And a lot of the time in life, we're still just sounding things out.

I mean, like most guys, you carry around this girl in your head, who is exactly who you want her to be. The person you think you will love the most. And every girl you are with gets measured against this girl in your head. So this girl with the red notebook - it makes sense. If you never meet her, she never has to get measured. She can be the girl in your head.

The drapery was so thick and the furniture so cloaked that I half expected to find Sherlock Holmes thumb-wrestling with Jane Austen in the corner. It wasn't as dusty or smoky as one expects a parlor to be, but all the wood had the weight of card catalogs and fabric seemed soaked in wine.

Loved this book! Simple and sweet...honest and engaging. I loved the evolving story of passing a notebook filled with honest thoughts to build a relationship and see where it may lead you...
Good vocabulary and engaging characters. One of those books that you needed to make sure you were snuggled on your couch in the perfect setting to finish it properly, even though I didn't want it to end!

It’s not a bad book, by any means. But for less than 300 pages I really struggled to get through the back half. I wish the red notebook mystery went on for like 80% of the book.

wanted some NewYorkyness and this was cute but the series will always be the best!!

This was a cute, laugh out loud funny read. The main characters were well developed. The whole concept of sending each other out on dares when they had never even met was highly original and entertaining.

As someone who didn't enjoy Cohn and Levithans other joint venture , Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist I have to say I adored this novel.

The only thing that niggled at me was the overuse of the most random references & quotes. It was a bit like " heres a list of all the classic novels, award winning poets and dictionary entries I have ever read".

los quiero mucho dash y lily, son todo lo que esta bien <333
