What a freaking series. I know I tend to gravitate towards adult and NA books, but this is such a great YA series. It’s so deep and interconnected. There’s so many amazing characters and storylines that are all so seamlessly easy to follow. I’m so glad I picked this back up and finished it.

Love and good will triumph all. All the good lessons learned. Breaking generational trauma and curses. Betrayal and trials. This book was jam packed with adventure, friendship and all the listed above items. If you have made it to this book in the series you know and love the characters. I loved seeing the further character development and thought it had very age appropriate thought processes represented for teens and young adults. My favorite quote is “Time does not change us. It just unfolds us.”-Max Frisch mentioned by none other than Hudson. I felt this book went through all the emotional rollercoasters and ended the series in a well thought out way that really closed all the loose ends. I’m sad to say goodbye to this series but I know that some aspects of the story can be found in her other books. Overall 10/10 I would recommend this series to YA and especially newbies into fantasy that need to make the switch into world building.

I did not like this. The last three books in this series were not great for me. As time went on I found Grace to be increasingly annoying. If I had to read the terms “Hudson, my Hudson” or “fook[ing]” or anything about “my mate” one more time…
Everything in this book wrapped up nicely in a little bow, which was kind of annoying. Mekhi dying but then not really dying because he conveniently found his mate as he was dying? That felt like a cop out. AND then the “battle” with the crone and her army that was built up the entire book? Only lasted a couple of pages. All of the action in this book was disappointing because of how short it was.

The best part about this book is it’s the last in the series so I don’t have to read another one. Severely disappointed in the last three in this series because I really enjoyed Crave, Crush, and Covet.

Listened to the audiobook. I felt like it dragged forever. The storyline/battle was good but it had a lot of fluff. Also, I would love to know the count on how many times mate is said in this book
