I must say i didn't enjoy my time in Pheme as much as in Boukos. The difference between Dami's family and Varazda's found one is jarring. It's a wonder how Dami grew up to be so kind and gentle in an environment like that. Wish we had more moments between both mcs, just living their lives instead of this whole trial business but well...
I'm sad to see this series ends though, i'll miss them!

Again, Demas easily portrays one of the healthiest fictional relationships I’ve ever come across. While I adored Damiskos and Varzada’s interactions, I’ll admit I wasn’t terribly invested in the murder mystery aspect — it felt a bit old, since the previous book in the series did the same sort of thing. Still, this was a great read!

“It may be true that I knew about love before I met you, and I knew how to find happiness and hang onto it. But you—you open me up, like the sun opens up a flower.”

The perfect finale of a fantastic trilogy. I couldn't have asked for more.

Surprisingly soft and lovely for a book where an MC is accused of murder. If you enjoyed the first two you'll love this one.

I am a huge fan of Chariton, he steals all his scenes with his intelligence, competence and compassion.

Perhaps a bit more stressful and not enough together time for Dami and Varazda for my romance tastes (or for what I was in the mood for), but still a very satisfying ending of the trilogy.
