This overall story was great, but I really needed more for the book to be great. More time from before to cement their relationship. More time during the really build up the angst. It was just a little too short overall.

If you are after a happy story to spend some time on DO NOT read this story. This is a bleak, desolate story of 2 broken people living on the edge of acceptable society trying to just get through life the best way they can. Had I known it was going to be this raw I probably would not have read it. But, if this is the type of story that appeals to you then I think it would appeal. The characters were well written & even though I may not have liked them, they did elicit sympathy in me.

description

I really liked this book. It had me intrigued from the start. Blue is this mysterious guy I wouldn't mind spending a couple of nights (or forever) with. I normally don't like flashbacks but here I liked them and thought it was an important part of the story (they are short).

Blue is alpha that didn't take no for answer, because he knew that Lola was attracted to him and wanted to say yes (but had conflicted feelings). She mainly didn't want to get involved because she was protecting him. I really felt for Lola she had been through a lot and deserved her HEA. I love that Blue was so protective, but at the end he didn't go to any extremes when Lola told him not to do something (to protect him). I wish it was longer though, it was pretty fast-paced. I am really looking forward to Candy's story!! ❤️

Thanks Wicked Reads for a copy to read and review!

(Enter Lord's name in vain here!) This book was sooooo dirty! Comeuppance should be spelled CUMUPPANCE ...... Just for this book. Blue was possessive, and foul mouthed which makes him totally swoon worthy. As head security for a strip club its Blue's job to make sure none of the girls get hurt but he goes the extra mile for Hannah. Hannah I always thinks the worst of herself except for when she's stripping on stage. Her foster brother watches her and she knows he wants to be more to her than just security. After an incident in her childhood rips them apart, he finds her again and this time he won't let her go! Five stars! Amazing read!

DNF. Stopped at the part where he spit in her mouth...couldn’t continue after that.

“Safety is a dream, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.”

There is no doubt that I’m addicted to Skye’s book. I noticed a pattern in her books, but I love it when her male characters are rough and hard. And this one - Blue - was both. I thought he would break Hannah. But she took it all. She was powerful in every single way.
I definitely recommend this book! ❤️

Heavy read

The book is extremely well written. It wasn’t intended to be an easy read and parts even feel violent but it’s also beautiful and honest in the best ways
