I got caught up in the whirlwind of what seemed like everyone adding or reading this one on NYE and decided - its on Kindle Unlimited, its quick, it is NYE why the heck not!!!
I have never read any of Daniel Hurst’s novels and mainly because they don’t really grab my attention and also there are just so many coming out on a yearly basis that I am skeptic all of their quality. So I figured why not give a short story a try as a taster.
This was OK - it had an interesting premise, was a bit of fun but also it was short. So there is no harm. Although I would’ve want anything longer and it definitely hasn’t enticed me to go in search of any of his other works. I don’t regret reading this though.
Largely it was predictable except for the very end… which was a little bit of wicked fun!!!

I've seen fewer twists in a full length novel! Definitely read this for a fast-paced, domestic thriller! It'll keep you guessing right up to the end.

Picked up this book right after the New Year holiday, how fitting right!?
I loved the author's writing style, the author had my attention from the first page to the very last. This book is very fast-paced, and a quick, easy read. There are some twists and turns that you just cannot predict or see coming about the New Year's Party event and the attendees.
