Beth and Wrath
Fantasy, vampires.
Didn’t love a lot of the dialogue and the writing style maybe?
It didn’t make sense to me that Wrath’s vision would get worse even though everything else about his body got bigger, better, stronger when he transitioned. I couldn’t understand that.
Has a few spicy scenes but they’re not super long or detailed. 1.5🔥
Read this in one day so that’s saying something. Not sure that I care enough to continue the series though.

Not horrible. I wish the characters were more developed. Didn't really care about any of them. I felt the way the female characters felt borderline sexist making them weak next to the male characters. Felt very cliche of the 90's paranormal shows where there are manly bikers, strong and forceful cop protector, and weak damsel in distress. Plot points seemed to happen quickly as if everything was just being thrown in there for good measure. However, the plot was interesting. I just wish it would have been paced better. Steamy scenes. Check trigger warnings!

I do not think I can accurately put into words how incredibly ridiculous this book was but I should have known better when I learned the names of this "elite brotherhood of dangerous vampires" were Wrath, Tohrment, Vishous, Rhage, Phury and Zsadist.... I invite you to think of every cringy, eye-roll-worthy, dick-swinging toxic masculinity scenario you can possibly think of and I can guarantee it was featured in this book, not only was it poorly written but quite literally nothing happens, and the world-building is next to non-existent, the characters are one-dimensional at best and I absolutely cannot stand how women were presented in this book if they aren't completely helpless and docile then they're hopeless in every sense of the word yeah alright... let this be a lesson to not always trust Goodreads ratings because I genuinely cant figure out how this book received a 4-star average is it me? am I the drama? but I digress do yourself a favor and leave this one on the shelf.

I probably have a unpopular opinion on this book but I really didn’t enjoy it. I found it jumped all over the place and didn’t explain things overly well.
It wasn’t a terrible book, but as a vampire lover I was expecting to love it and it unfortunately just fell flat for me. I MIGHT give the second book a chance but at the moment I have no desire to continue with the series.

DNF

I was looking for something new to read/listen....so I thought since this series has so many books and people loving it I give it a try. Even though I read one book by her that I did not care for, but figured it is a different series so why not.

Well I ended up DNFing the book at 18% and now sure I will never read her again.... nothing against people who love her and her books, but it just was not my cup of tea.

The book started out OKAY not great but okay but early on there was sign that there will be manipulating. Also some things just seemed off...... or something I could not get behind at.

AT 18% I finally hit the point I couldn't get passed and decided it was time to quit .

Here are some points .... I disliked or thought odd

-Totally be justified to manipulate people

 - The whole he is the only pure-blood vampire left.... WTF?! What are even half blood vampires?! *rolls eyes*

 - when he "turned", his entire body transformed into some thing so much better, bigger, and more muscular. He literally gained body mass and height but his eye sight remained shit?! How does that make sense.

 - The thing that pushed me over the edge was when he basically broke into her apartment in the middle of the night, she was ever so terrified of him. But yet at the same time thought she will die if she does not have him inside of her right now and then.... NOPE. No thank you, have some brain remaining. you can not be terrified and turned on at the same time and the same person, that is just plain stupid.

At that point I knew I would not enjoy this book any longer and stopped. I'm happy for all that did enjoy it and still will, but this is just not for me.
