I read this book when I was 10 years old and it had stick with me since. Reading it now was Therapeutic. Gabrielle Zevin knows how to write grief from the lens of a 15-16 year old child. Beautifully done and age appropriate years later.

A different concept of what happens to us after we die with themes of love and forgiveness.
This book had a very Lovely Bones feel about it. A great book for teens that is less issue driven than Lovely Bones.
I usually don’t give bad reviews to books but this one had so much potential and it was ruined by some very uncomfortable plot points.
The worst: the romance. An age-difference of 20 years, as in a 15 year old and 35 year old?! I hated that.
I only finished because this was a very quick read.
In the beginning I thought “I wish I had read this as a teenager”, as the writing style seemed very much aimed at teenagers and the protagonist is a very typical (and annoying) teenager. When the romance came in I was glad I’m reading it while I’m old enough to know that this couple isn’t okay.

Wow this book was incredible. I surprisingly loved this book. I honestly didn't realize it was about the afterworld until I started it and it was a great surprise. It talks about life and how to never let it pass you by and that's a great message for everyone to read!
What a beautiful bittersweet book! My heart is both happy and broken all at once. I wish to know more about Liz (not Liz) and if she ever meets up with her Owen again... In my mind, she does.
This book was great. The author put the confusing part of dying and made it into a fun loving book for anyone to read. I rate it five stars and I highly recommend it to everyone. :)
