With a book that lies right there in the title, what else was there to expect?

It was an amazing read for me and the way everything unfolded at the end made me stay up all night ....loved it<3

I cannot get over how good this book is! It's full of secrets, lies and betrayals that will have you gripped. I loved the progression of the story and characters, and the way information was revealed to the reader was very cleverly written in and not forced at all like it often is in mystery novels. The ending of the mystery and the character story arcs beautifully tie together all the themes and loose ends presented and left me completely satisfied.

While the murder-mystery element of the book was exciting, the most enjoyable part of the novel is the characters and their story lines. I really found myself caring about them and relating to them, which I find rare in a YA book. The depth of personality McManus has written, not just for the 4 main characters, but for several of the minor characters too, is incredible. They are some of the most developed and real characters I have read for a long time, and I'm sure I will remember them for a long while.

Pros:
- Amazing characters
- Unique and interesting mystery and conclusion
- Fast paced story line

Cons:
- Potentially triggering for some people: drug abuse, murder, depression,
Spoiler LGBT+ outting

Spoiler suicide

I've got mixed feelings about this book. Took me a while to get into the story but once I did, I could not. stop. reading. But then I feel like I saw the ending coming a little too early, and although I was reading the ending with a small, tentative smile, the second I closed the book I felt some sort of disappointment wash through me.

Gonna be thinking about this one for a while, that's for sure.

I've heard this book be called "Pretty Little Liars meets the Breakfast Club" and that is 100% the truth -- though I think I'd probably liken it more to PLL than the Breakfast Club in the end.

It was a good read with some interesting twists and turns. My favorite thing is the subtle diversity within each of the characters -- nothing feels forced, and no one is really who you'd expect. Also, I am an Addy stan (And a Stan stan) all the way through.
