super fun, quick read. total YA, but still enjoyable. most of the twists weren't too hard to figure out. saw cooper being gay pretty quickly, though i was wrong thinking that addy got preggo when she slept with TJ. also suspected meave (addy's young sis), though that was more of a red herring than anything else. slightly before the big reveal, tash and i figured out simon probs killed himself. and we knew janea was sketchy in some way, but not exactly how. didn't see jake being such a villain, but it felt on brand once it was revealed. of course enjoyed bronwyn and nate's courtship (who can resist the bad boys?), and was of course glad they ended up giving it another shot. super fun to read out loud with tash.

I enjoyed it, but sometimes felt like each character had the same voice. The ending was a bit predictable, but was an entertaining read.
This was a rereading in order to watch the show because I first read this in 2018 and I didn't remember the details. I liked it a lot. Obviously not as much as the first time because I already knew everything but I enjoyed focusing this time on the relationships and other details I didn't catch the first time. Can't wait to watch the show.
[4'5] Empecé este libro porque tenía dos cosas que me gustan MUCHO y son los típicos clichés de instituto y asesinatos, y por lo tanto tenía mucho potencial para ser un libro de mi agrado. Nunca había leído nada relacionado con asesinatos de esta forma y como había previsto, he disfrutado muchísimo del libro. Los personajes en general me han gustado, pero lo que más me ha gustado ha sido el desarrollo y cambio que han tenido cada uno desde el comienzo de la historia hasta el final. He estado en angustia constante durante más de la mitad de la historia, lo cual imagino que es algo bueno ya que de eso trataba el libro, de angustiarse por saber que pasa y quien es el asesino. No le doy 5 estrellas porque aunque el final ha sido magnífico, he podido predecir algunas de las cosas, por lo que no ha sido tan shock. En definitiva, un libro bastante interesante y fácil de leer, con la intriga justa y necesaria. Si te gustan los clichés de instituto bien escritos, este es tu libro.

I got this young adult book from my teenage son, so I said I would give it a go.
It is a ‘whodunnit’ and kicks off with five teenagers sent into detention after school where one dies from an allergic reaction. Everyone is a suspect. The characters are stereotypes, the beauty queen, the ivy league hopeful, the sporty one and the rebel. The circumstance they find themselves in, slowly draws each person outside their persona and leads them down unexpected paths. The book is very well written and well-paced, I really enjoyed it!
