What a play. Dark and full of dramatic irony that stings. The desperation and contrast between the two characters in ending act is what makes it.

For such a short play the way in which it examines mental health and suicide ideation is impressive.

I don't know what to feel. Like at all.

The ending isn't satisfying enough, personally. Also, there were some serious power moves in here that made me laugh.

‘Night, Mother is an intense and emotional two person drama about a mother and her suicidal daughter. It is set at the mother’s home, where the daughter lives to take care of her. The entire play is one scene, and an intense conversation that honestly discusses the faults of their lives.

The one-scene full play model isn’t necessarily my personal favorite, and I don’t love how it almost justifies suicide. However, I do commend it on its honestly and how it handles character driven drama.
