I enjoyed this book, it was an easy read with a little spice. The story was a little predictable but I wanted an easy read with a happy ending. Enjoyed Ethan’s character but Mia had to grow on me. Great beach read.

I enjoyed this book, I really liked the characters and how they interacted. I did think the sex scenes were a little much, and something about naming the animals after Disney characters kind of annoyed me, but I'm not sure why. But overall I enjoyed the book and it made me want to read the next book in the series.

I was in the mood for a light hearted, if not a bit steamy, romance.. and this is exactly what I needed. I did find myself drawn to the other cast, and really want to read the next in the series. Gotta see what happens with Ophelia and Kyle!

"In a way, I'm whole again. She makes everything . . . better."

Charming, sensual and utterly addicting - I've found a new must-read author. Full of heart and humor The Start of Something Good, is a beautiful tale about finding friendship and love in unexpected places and from unexpected people (and animals.) I'm looking forward to reconnecting with all the wonderful characters as the Stay series continues.

"She'd found everything she'd always wanted. It had just been packaged differently than what she had expected."

Ethan and Mia made an unlikely couple, but despite the surface differences, they actually had a lot in common. There was such a quirky cast of characters that included a love-struck chicken, an old dog, and a skittish horse. This story would not have been as fantastic without Ethan’s sisters, Chloe, and all of the quirky animals. Some of the situations had me chuckling and others had me groaning. Jennifer Probst wrote a fun story and I definitely recommend reading it. Can’t wait for Ophelia’s story next.

What is supposed to be a welcoming homecoming for Ethan, after recovering from a horrific botched rescue, turns into anything but when he is placed in charge of the mayoral candidate's daughter who is ordered to do community service at his families Band B. When the owner of the PR firm for the candidacy is sent to chaperone Ethan and Mia clash on site and the name calling and attitude only escalates. But where there is anger there is also passion and the two become lovers. But can Mia give up her high powered NYC job and stay on at the B and B? Or is the relationship doomed to be more flash than substance? With beautiful characters and an emotional storyline this book was amazing. I cannot wait for more in this series.

I just wasn't a fan of this one. This is a first for me from this author, and the writing itself wasn't bad. I wasn't a fan of Mia at all. She was rude and grated me with her attitude. From the description of her, she wasn't a fat person, but you would think she didn't need to lose 10 pounds, but 100. She was militant about the blueberries in her yogurt. Not someone I could connect with at all. I put this down, and tried to come back to it, but I just couldn't get behind her. I only made it to 25%, so maybe it gets better.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

This passed the time (literally one evening in one sitting) just fine but a friend asked me about it several weeks after I read it and I barely remembered it - so there's that. It wasn't bad, but I've liked a couple of her other books better.

Thank you to Netgalley and Montlake Romance for the ARC of this novel. All opinions expressed here are my own.

I put this book down, I just couldn't take it anymore. It was a lot of talk about weight and fat camp....mixed with namedropping exclusive brands.
