Started out as a typical retro style werewolf book which is kinda what I was after but quickly took some real strange left turns and lost my interest. Author added too much in my opinion. Just wasn’t the biggest fan personally.

I really enjoyed what the book did here. First of all, it was wild and fast paced, and a lot of fun to read. Then, I thought the twist was both fun and terrifying. I loved how the book was about childhood, parenthood, and fear or anxiety. Something about it stopped me from giving it 5 stars, but it might just be I’m in the wrong headspace at the moment and I really have trouble getting into stories. But this is really good. The audiobook was great too!

Every now and then, a book comes along that hijacks your brain, your free time, and your sleep schedule. This was that book for me.

My official review is: Read it. That's it. Go in knowing nothing. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

But since I can’t help myself… this book was an unputdownable, wild ride from start to finish. It’s filled with all of my favorite things: mystery, twists, wtf moments, and a story that just sinks its teeth into you. The author’s writing style is visceral; it’s the kind that makes you feel everything so deeply you forget you're even reading.

If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, gasp, and maybe get a little teary-eyed, this is the one.
