What an unbelievable book! This was easily one of the best horror reads I've come across in quite some time. It was action-packed from the very beginning, with a plot and story that maintained tension and terror throughout.
While the scare and gore factor was intense, there was also a powerful message about family woven into the horror, which I really appreciated. The female lead and the young secondary lead both stole the show, and their epic journey throughout the book was compelling to witness.
Despite the scary moments, there was a great mix of heart and humor that allowed for moments of relief and enabled deeper character development. By the end, what began as a straightforward fight for survival evolved into a profound exploration of right and wrong, and the lengths one will go to protect someone they truly care for.

Devastating, heartbreaking, and mind bending. It forces you to look inward and reflect. There were funny and sweet moments and moments that were incredibly horrific. This was GOOD horror. Profound and unique. Unlike anything I’ve ever read.
