Audiobook. Slower than the first. I wasn’t as invested in these two. Forced proximity. Grumpy x sunshine. It was slow and I ended up taking a break in the middle, to start a different book.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the arc.

This is the followup to Not the Witch you Wed following the middle of the triplets, Rose. You should read the first book before going into this one because I feel like you will miss out and not understand the growth Rose has in this book.

I adored the first one and adored this one as well. April Asher just writes fun characters that have great banter. Also, her side characters add such fun and quirkiness to the story. I especially adored the introduction of Miguel and Terrrance in this book. I love this world that April Asher has built that is very much paranormal but with all the pop culture references that we know.

I can't wait for the third book which will focus on Olive and I'm hoping there will be a fourth as well. We need a Harper book!

Borrowed the audiobook from the library. The narrators weren’t my favorite but the story was enjoyable.

“Intentions don’t mean squat when it comes to matters of the heart. You say that now, and you may even believe it, but when love comes around it doesn’t give a damn if you never planned for it to happen.”

This book was…fine. Honestly it took me forever to get through because I kept putting it aside to read more interesting things. I wanted October witchy goodness but this didn’t give me that vibe. The hex was confusing. Like, he can’t fall in love because it’ll cost him his soul? But he’s so obviously gone on this girl the whole way through, so how has he not already lost it? And no one else can break this hex? Really? I don’t know, it didn’t work for me. I enjoyed the rescue animals and the grumpy/sunshine vibe between Rose and Damian. The “hunting” was dumb and an unnecessary distraction. Meh.

I do want Bax’s story though, so I might stick it out for the third in this series.
