Rose was such a badass! She had attittude for miles, but was also sweet and caring, so I thought she was actually balanced.
After stepping down as Prima, Rose strugled to find her calling and purpose, and after a few missed tries Hunting turned out to be it for her. Having her sexy demon aiding her surelly helped!
While helping at the Vet's Animal santuary, she got closer to Damian and got into a no strings attached "relationship"/ friends with bennefits kind of thing.
As expected the no strings got extremelly messed up and twisted.
I really liked bothe characters and was cheering for them since chapter 1.

Damian was extremelly grumpy, but with a motive from his past for the grumpiness.
The side characters continued to be all active, being a plus point to the story.

This was good, but I liked the first book better. I thought Rose and Damian lacked chemistry and I just didn’t care that much about them. VERY excited for the third book though!

I came into Not Your Ex's Hexes about a year after I finished Not the Witch You Wed (the first in the series), which I adored because it was a fun, silly, witchy romance. NYEH surpassed my expectations by just being a book that made me feel cozy and happy. Rose was the Prima Apparent before her eldest sister, Violet, came into her powers; now, thrilled to have shed the overwhelming political responsibility and her terrible, no-good ex, she's trying to find herself and having a bit of trouble doing so. Enter Damian, the half-demon veterinarian with a secret ex who loves animals more than people but, even still, can't seem to keep his hands to himself when it comes to the witch meandering around the animal sanctuary where he works. They're both stubborn and, although not quite full enemies-to-lovers, it's definitely antagonistic MCs to lovers, which is even more so my bread and butter, especially when the MCs are snarky, cute, and oh-so-spicy. NYEH was made for cuddling up with a cute blanket and a great cup of a tea; the dialogue is fun, the characters are well developed, and April laid groundwork for OLIVE AND BAX!!! In case you can't tell, I'm pretty excited for their story...Really adored this fun, silly book!

Pretty good but tamer than I expected from a romance with a demon.
