It was okay but I just found it incredibly slow. I feel like the characters were written practically the same as the TV show characters but certain things bugged me. Like things that we find out later in the show suddenly appear in this book where they do not belong.

Good for what it is - a well-written tie-in to a very inconsistent show. If Ostow were writing the show, some of season 2 & 3's wildly uneven chatacterization and inexplicably stubborn plot points might well have been avoided.

I don't know how to review this, it's middling and it's not great... but for Riverdale it's pretty darn great. You don't get a whole lot of new info from this that show hasn't already given us, but it's fun to see why Dilton is such a weird doomsday prepper, also you get INCREDIBLE throwaway references like "Sweetie, the Sweetwater snake monster"!

You're not reading this because it sounds fun or because it's THE "it" book, you're reading this because you're a goober Riverdale stan who will dive into anything tied into this show.

Okay wow.... If I had read this before watching the series I would have never seen the series... Veronica and Archie are the worst kind of people. What even....
