3.5 rounded to four. Frieda tied up the loose ends. A solid series conclusion…or so we think.
This book should have stayed far away from becoming a series. Easily the weakest of the bunch. The plot holes are so big you could fall right through them, and trust me, I tried to look away but no chance. I get that it is meant to be a popcorn novel, but come on, even popcorn needs a little seasoning. I still have standards.

Terribly slow in the beginning especially for a McFadden book, but the twists were decently done.
This one is a page turner, as I finished this in 2 days! So many surprising twists throughout this entire novel. Though it definitely doesn’t beat the original, “The Housemaid,” it was pretty darn good for being the 3rd segment of the series!
