i was so surprised how much of this book (2/3 of it) takes place before they even get into the arena. there is so much more time included from the year before the quarter quell. i also really appreciated the scene where peeta and katniss watch the tapes from haymitch’s games. have now read sunrise on the reaping i payed way more attention to that part than when i read the original trilogy as a kid. i’ve always thought of catching fire as the best of the movies but it’s definitely not as true to the book as the first.

This is by far the best out of the trilogy! Smashed this in a day and that’s a real treat for me! One of my favourite books of all time!
