Increíblemente, una historia sobre leche diabólica que te controla la mente no es la historia más rara que he leído.

But kudos.

A truly bizarre mashup of the DCU and the Young Animal line, it's weird and meta but if you've followed Young Animal up to now you know to expect that. The Mother Panic and Shade crossovers are the best, as is the introduction of a new character to the Young Animal line. I'm keeping this a solid 3 because it's hard to follow at times and I honestly can't recommend it unless you've read a bit of the Young Animal titles and are familiar with them .

An evil corporation called RetCo, the power of milk and brainwashed superheroes makes for one wild ride

Do you ever read something and think 'what the fuck was that'? Usually, I give a plot summary, but half of the time I didn't really know what was happening so I wouldn't be able to do this storyline justice. This book is so wacky and weird that I'm not sure how I feel about it. There are some funny moments and one-liners, and The Trinity are, well...Milkman man, Father Bruce and Wonder Wife each have their own, focused storylines, the best of which is probably Bruce's, and the weirdest Diana's. I'm not all too familiar with Young Animal (save for maybe Doom Patrol), and that's where the fatal flaw comes in. In order to get the most out of this, being familiar with DC's Young Animal seems to be a must. If you want to go on a unique journey and not understand what's happening, this is probably the book for you.

I'd never read any Young Animal titles, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to check them out, and it totally was! This was a fun introduction to the different characters, and I feel like I know which Young Animal titles I'd like to pick up and check out now. (DOOM PATROL!!)

Well, that was weird. It did make me want to check out more of the series from the Young Animals imprint though! I only read this because it concludes Gerard Way's Doom Patrol run, but it also includes a ton of other characters from different comics that I have never read, so parts of it were a bit confusing. I think I'm going to check some of them out soon though. Very fun read.

I often like my comics weird and this one is very weird and meta. I enjoyed reading this a lot.

The first story was a little too confusing for me. It also didn't feel like it had much of a conflict besides the neighborhood physically fighting the Doom Patrol. But the rest of the stories were entertaining. The Retco characterizations of the Big Three were fun, and while I didn't like the second volume of Shade, the Changing Girl, Shade's issue in Milk Wars was laid out well. I liked it overall.

Wonderfully weird and layered, as one would expect. Not for people who are not ready to be challenged, or who are not up-to-date on at least two Young Animal titles and, to some extent, the DCU proper. Varying art styles befit the changes in reality - very much enjoyed this.
