my god am i glad that i have the sequel sitting on my shelf otherwise i would be SO angsty right now

what a beautiful book, not only in the prose and the gentle and sweet romance, but in the politics and rules of automae. i, robot has been a staple work of literature in my life but i'm loving that books these days are going back to exploring what it means to have created robotic life, their rights, and all the ways it can all go wrong.

pacing was lovely, i felt that there was a really good balance between plot progression and the exploration of the f/f romance. lots of twists at the end that make me eager to throw away my TBR for the sequel, but i want to stew in the greatness of crier's war before jumping into iron heart.

I’m sorry but I got so bored reading this book it took me three weeks to finish it, and I’m angry because I could’ve read books I enjoyed better during this period of time but I still wanted to see what the hype was about. The story just didn’t interest me, it was pretty classic in my opinion and I just couldn’t get interested. Please, give me something new and something that doesn’t make me wanna sigh when I see it ?? The romance also didn’t spark anything in me... The only thing I will remember about this book is how I had to force myself to read it :/

I read it for the f/f ship and it just wasn’t for me i guess,,

THE ENDING?!?!??!

I expected to like this way more than I did. It felt predictable. But saying that I would read the sequel if I can get my hands on it.
