Very good book. Beautifully written with poetic discriptions and interesting plot. It was a tiny bit confusing but I still enjoyed it very much. Obviously getting a good rating for the sapphicness but I most say, Ayla was a tad too revengie at times. And a shame that they never had more than one kissed throughout the whole book. Hoping for more action in the sequel.

one of the better high fantasies that i've read recently, tho that may be because half of the book i listened to as an audiobook while occupied so the time was passing faster. anyways, i liked the concept of a Made being learning to develop romantic emotions and being able to read the story from both Ayla and Crier's perspectives. The world building wasn't too overly complicated and it was easy to understand the hierarchy and status differences. i wish the relationships that the girls' had with other characters such as Benjy and Kinok were more elaborated on because even though Kinok is Crier's betrothed merely to gain alliance and power, it didn't seem like they knew each other at all.
