A very fine standard romance. I never connected with or liked Isabel a whole lot but I loved me some Taylor. There were no surprises and plenty of foreshadowing for at least one, possibly two, future books in the series. Best thing was that the group of friends all sounded like different people. I was very happy about that.

It's very much a standard Brayden romance. If you enjoyed the Soho Loft series, I think you'll love this one.

Thanks to BSB and NetGalley for the book.

One of my favorite reads of 2019! I absolutely fell in love with this book and with Isabel and Taylor (especially Taylor!) Their world was so vivid and well-developed, and the sexual tension - wow. Throw in a unique take on a Hollywood romance, and this one really ticked all my boxes. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

I finished this book last night and I already find myself forgetting about it. I had trouble with the writing style, I felt some of the sentences were a bit silly and it took me out of the story. This means that I had trouble connecting to the characters and their relationship. I liked getting a behind the scene look into TV show creation, I've never read one before, in fact this is the first book I've read that takes place in Hollywood. I don't think its a setting that I particularly enjoy, its not a life style that I'm interested in. I did like the anxiety rep and the fact that her issues didn't disappear into thin air when she got into a relationship, it was very realistic.

Cute but not as good as the Soho Loft books so far.

I loved the Soho Loft series, so I was really excited about this series. I'm really not feeling it so far.

1. I'm way more interested in the side characters (which I assume will be 2-4). Great that they're really likeable, but not great that I care more about them that the main characters.

2. I didn't really like the main characters. At times I felt like the book was written by two different people. That a second author was brought in to do what the first author didn't want to write. I never felt that more than when reading the two main characters.

3. As aluded to in 2, the book felt wildly uneven. Sometimes character choices came out of the blue, and seemed out of line with their previous behaviors. So often I would find myself very into the book, only to backpedal and wonder what I was reading.

4. I liked the dog. Also secondary secondary characters that I wanted more of. Instead of the mains, which is not a good sign.

5. I didn't like the pacing of the relationship, but that's probably more of a personal preference kind of thing. I will say it was less formulaic than I'm used to.

6. The drama involved annoyed me. Especially the last part. Seemed very out of character. I'm not sure if I think it shouldn't have existed at all, or if it should've been been handled differently.
