Was more about the images (sculpture, coin, painting) of the caesars than anything else. Not what I thought/wanted.

Very interesting! I really enjoyed this one, though I had to take a break to give it back to the library and queue for it again. Plenty of art work is shows so the reader knows what Beard is talking about. I always like it when the reception of a historical person or thing becomes part of the history itself, and that is thoroughly and amusingly explained here.
