let me start off by saying i absolutely loved this—the last 150 pages were so gripping i couldn’t put it down!!!!!
dockson, clubs, and tindwyl
broke my heart as well as
marsh
and
oreseur’s
betrayals respectively but im so glad my goat sazed is still kickin. vin releasing Whatever The Hell That Was from the well into the world after trying to save it ever since she found her powers and ever since kelsier died is so poetic, and i can’t wait to see how this trilogy ends!!!!!! HOWEVER….this only got 4.75 stars because i really despise the miscommunication trope and there was a whole lot of that between vin and elend with the “he deserves better he doesn’t love all of me he only loves valette” and “if only vin would tell me what was going on, she’s so confusing” storylines. also elend!!!! omg!!!!! what a twist. i lowkey want to get a tattoo of the inquisitor symbol that’s on the ars arcanum page but i shall resist its power even if it pulses, calling to me like the well 👀

Wow! How does Brandon Sanderson do it? The world-building, the magic system, the lore, and the characters are so richly complex and unique!

And there are layers and layers of problems that are all woven together masterfully. Just when you think one issue is resolved, there’s three more lurking around the corner. It is non-stop action and all of it  distracts the reader perfectly from the real threat that can destroy them all. I am mentally and emotionally exhausted (in a good way)!

The start and the middle dragged a little bit. But that was really the only flaw. I loved learning more about the characters and seeing new pov’s.
Absolutely adored how Elend and Vin’s marriage worked out! And the koloss battle at the end was *chefs kiss*
. Can’t wait for the next!

I loved how the magic system was so nicely integrated into the story especially with the Ferrochemical abilities being touched on a lot more in this book. So much happened that I sort of feel emotionally drained after finishing it but it was also so good.

Another great Mistborn book! This one takes place after the fall of the Final Empire following the group of rebels trying to rebuild a kingdom.

There is a lot of war and deaths for both minor and major characters in this book. Character development mainly focuses on Elend with Sazed and Vin getting some smaller arcs of their own.

The story and the characters are both great and thoroughly enjoyable, but in nearly every chapter there is at least one typo, or the names of characters or things mixed up which is frustrating and gives the feeling that the book was written in a rushed manner.

Better than book 1 by a stretch in my opinion, the epic scope, loveable characters and heartbreak was incredible.

There were parts in the middle of this that dragged in a way that had me thinking I would rate it lower, but the ending picked up nicely. Probably could've been shorter, which I don't think is a new thing in my opinion of Sanderson.
