Surprisingly I really enjoyed this one! I didn’t know much about this instalment in the series and I was pleasantly surprised! The adventure was so much fun and Eustance is actually quite a funny character. I liked his character in The Voyage of The Dawn Treader but in this book he played a much bigger role and I enjoyed reading about it. This is tied for my second favourite in the series with The Voyage of the Dawn Treader! Excited to read the final book soon!

#thesilverchair by @cslewis_official has more giants and magic and politics than some of the other #narnia books, and not quite enough talking animals for me. The main characters are less lovable. Lewis’s religious allegory is more pronounced in this book, and I don’t always think it is as well crafted as earlier in the series. I do, however like this (quite long) quote:
“Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things-trees and grass and sun and moon and stars and Aslan himself. Suppose we have. Then all I can say is that, in that case, the made-up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones. Suppose this black pit of a kingdom of yours is the only world. Well, it strikes me as a pretty poor one. And that's a funny thing, when you come to think of it. We're just babies making up a game, if you're right. But four babies playing a game can make a play-world which licks your real world hollow. That's why I'm going to stand by the play world. I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it. I'm going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn't any Narnia.”

My favorite Narnia book! It encompasses the best parts of the Lion the witch and the wardrobe and the Magicians Nephew! I love Jill and Eustice’s dynamics! I wish people talked about them as much as Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy. This one was so exciting and calm ( great balance) This is definitely a feels like home book!
