This was my first by Gabrielle and I loved it 

Rom was in the mafia and Mia was a people pleaser always tying to take care of others especially her father no matter what the cost 

I loved How strong mia is and honest and open 

Rom was great loved him and how much he always wanted to be there for her

I read one of Sands' other books and wasn't a fan. I honestly did not expect to like this story as much as I did. It was pretty good.

Really enjoyed the chemistry and the romance between the main characters. And finally, an FMC who stood up for herself and went for what she wanted. I mean, it wasn't for herself at the beginning, and she didn't succumb just to how hot the MMC is (it was a mutual arrangement). And the MMC was down bad for the FMC. I always like to see that.

But the pet name Berry? It was... super odd and cringey. Not every single love interest needs one. The story 1000% would've been okay without it. The MMC's obsession with the lip gloss was enough. 😬

My only thing with these mafia romance books is that there's not enough mafia. This one showed more of the Ferraro family and talks of how powerful and revered they were. It didn't go more into why or much else. I want to see more violence and murdering. LOL. The betrayal and disloyalty were pretty good in this book, though. 

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next one - need to find out what Cos' deal is and for Fabi to set him straight. 😆

This was cute, I liked that it was a mafia story, I just wished the romance between Romolo and Mia was flushed out more. Don’t get me wrong they had their cute moments but their relationship definitely could’ve been built up better.
