A book for those who fear death (like me) and those who find it fascinating. It takes you on a journey of what death and grief can look like outside the Western/Americanized process we consider the “norm” and into unashamed customs and beliefs around the world. I finished this more enlightened and more empowered. A great, non-fiction read!

This book was so eye opening. I never really thought about death in depth before, but this book really made me see death in a new light. Caitlin Doughty is a fantastic writer and explorer of death. I am so happy to have picked this book up to read.
