It was just boring and the writing style just felt like early YA (bad) and aside from slight feelings towards Winnie, I just did not really care for her or anyone else in the book so far
I might pick this up in the future but for now I'm not going to force myself into a reading slump for a book I won't enjoy

I think a younger YA reader would really enjoy this story, but as an adult I found the main character super bland and I absolutely hated the onomatopoeia and the teeth clicking. Neither of those things should have made it past an editor. Also Winnie’s insistence on her inability to lie, when obviously she does so just fine? She’s a doormat essentially and things are happening to her instead of Winnie propelling the narrative.

The concept is great but I pretty much just forced myself to finish this just out of curiosity to finish it. Not sure if it was because I just wasn't in the mood or I was just bored. I felt like it just dragged for me.

This was pleasantly surprising! I did not think I was going to enjoy this book. Instead I found it to be a very addictive read. I had a blast reading this! I’m excited for the next book!
