This book was really strange, I don't know if I was
happy with the ending or just plain confused. I don't
even know what to say about this book, it felt like a
fever dream.

The book was fast paced and made you want to keep
reading to understand what was going to happen,
however, when I got to the end I had to ask myself if
this was a good book and if I enjoyed it?
The best way to describe this book is that it starts off
really really strong, then it gets weird and then even
more weird.

I wouldn't dissuade anyone from picking up this book I
think you need to experience the roller coaster it is
yourself.

This book started really good and then towards the end it was hard to even finish it. Hated the turn it took.

Ok colleen …you pulled it together there at the end but this book was soooooo different than what I was hoping from such a great author. Maybe read it closer to Halloween if you want a little haunt! Otherwise pass on this she has way better books!

I slugged my way through this, though I can't tell you if it was completely the story or the fact I listened to it on audio that made it harder to be bothered with any of the characters. It may be that this genre isn't Colleen Hoover's forte or she's yet to find her footing if she plans to do more in it.

Another thing that might have been a me issue, is this is completely told from a male's perspective. Which narratively makes sense and the narrator for the audiobook is pretty good, but in this case, doesn't do the story a lot of good.

*3.8 - 4 stars.
This book was so different (obvs its a whole different genre from what she usually writes) and wow what a rollercoaster ride it was! Some things were a little predictable but I had no idea how the book would end. For the first time ever I didn't love the hero in a CoHo book but overall a very intirguing premise.
