Honestly a weird read. Definitely not what I was expecting. It was okay.

I'll admit I didn't read the book description all the way through, but honestly it made this book so much better. I loved surprising myself by accidentally picking a paranormal supernatural book.

My heart broke when Leeds and Layla were in the thick of it. I think Colleen picked the best one to tell the story. I rarely read from a Male POV's insights so it was interesting. From the romantic scenes to how he described panic and fear — wow.

📌 I honestly felt seen with how Colleen Hoover explained how anxiety feels: "I asked her what the anxiety felt like. She said, it's like a shiver running through my blood. Up until that point, I had always assumed anxiety was just a heightened sense of worry. But she explained it as an actual physical feeling running through her body like tiny waves of electric shock."

I had a hard time getting into this book, but once I had to know what happened, I couldn't stop reading. In the end, when I wanted desperately to cover my eyes — but this wasn't a movie or show so I had to keep reading — I pushed forward because I had to know how it all turned out.
