Elegant, simple and engaging. The first book that helped me understand string theory and also helped to map all theories and their relations.

Mind = blown. Thanks to this little book, my mind could finally wrap around concepts like a fourth dimension (shhhh, yes, I had trouble with that one), the very basics of quantum physics, and M-theory. This was a refreshing stop in my journey out of blind faith; it provided succinct, believable explanations for the phenomenon around me, while still admitting that of course it's not all figured out yet. Hawking and his writing partner (damned if I didn't already forget his name) do a great job of making this friendly, funny, and incredibly educational. If you're at all interested in science in an overview sense (it's probably an easy reader for people who have studied these subjects before), especially if you want to get excited about it in general, this is a fantastic introduction.

الحقيقة ان الكتاب دا بيميل فيه ستيفن هوكنج للالحاد أكثر من اللا ادرية اللي كان دايما بيتبعها في برامجه او كتبه. هوكنج ملحد لكنه دايما بيعرض الأراء بدون الانحياز، لكن في الكتاب دا حسيته مايل اكتر للالحاد حتى انه كان بيسخر في بعض الاحيان من الاراء الاخرى.
كتاب نمطي جدا، هتلاقي كل اللي ف الكتاب دا، في برامج او في كتبه الاخرى، او في كتب علماء اخرين.
في النهاية الكتاب عاوز يقول ان على عكس عنوان الكتاب، لا يوجد اي تصميم عظيم.
