This book was much better than #6. I really liked this one and found the plot line to be awesomely interesting. The end of this book definitely makes me excited for #8. :o)
So far, this was the best book in the series. Sookie attends the big vampire convention (that they've been talking about for a while) and of course, there is plenty of intrigue. I enjoyed getting to glimpse the wider vampire culture here. Harris again does a good job of balancing multiple plots and mingling them together so the reader isn't sure who is behind what. (Though some are more obvious than others. Come on, Sookie could've put together who killed off the Arkansas contingent pretty quickly, I think. And the suitcases. Really now. Random suitcases sitting around should have been a red flag to somebody that something was going to happen with them.) This installment broadened the story well beyond Sookie and the "supes" she is immediately involved with and as a result, All Together Dead was suspenseful and exciting. The pacing was good and there was plenty of action to end the story with a, well, bang. ;) There were still a few blips in writing style and consistency typical of these books, but I was happy enough with the plotline (and the cool Britlingen) to let them pass without bothering me much this time.
I'm very glad I have the next book on hand again this time. The ending of this book left so many questions about what would happen next that I'm pretty anxious to get started on From Dead to Worse.

Woah that was NOT the ending I was expecting!
It's interesting how she went to Eric's room and didn't really even try to find Bill.
