I listened to the audiobook of this story.  This story was right up my alley.  As a former mathlete, I could relate to Hugo and his need for logic and patterns everywhere he turned.  I loved how Stella knocked him off his axis and made his life less predictable.  I enjoyed the interactions between the main couple, but I also really enjoyed each of their interactions with their respective friend groups.  I was frequently laughing out loud wondering where the story would go next.  It’s the little details the author included that really made this story special.  Now don’t wait another leap-second deciding if between the cheeseball and the pineapple dessert…just eat both.  ;) #iykyk

Grumpy/sunshine, childhood friends to lovers, he falls first with a bit of enemies to lovers.   I adore this author's sassy heroines with their very human flaws. This book has me laughing out loud.

Stella is Hugo's best friends little sister and she has always been off limits but when he screws up her chances at her dream job and it domino's into screwing up her chances for any job in her field he offers her a job in his office.
Stella has always had a crush on Hugo but she's pretty sure he's always thought of her has the bratty little sister, so she's super surprised when his control snaps and he kisses her and things just get more confusing from there.
Stella has some serious confidence issues and Hugo has some serious perfectionism issues making them an interesting pairing, the humor was on point and I had way more fun with this one than I did with the previous book in this series.

I received this as an ARC. This was my first Annika Martin book and it certainly won’t be my last! I can’t wait to read the others in the Billionaire Series.

Grumpy Billionaire was a slow burn, grumpy sunshine,

Favourite Quote: I’ve broken one code in my life—it’s the code to stay away from you.

Tropes: Grumpy x Sunshine, brothers bff, slow burn, office romance, opposites attract, billionaire romance

I had no idea this was book 8 in the series my kindle didn’t group it with the others whoops!

Really loved these two so cute and I loved the flashbacks and the way they both saw everything when they were younger, it was a really cute story it had spice but not a lot I just found this a really easy read!

The end was interesting I didn’t see it coming how it ended but it wasn’t whiplash that’s what I enjoy this series it’s not to harsh on your emotions a little bit of everything and it’s enough!

Because it’s book 8 I think I was a bit lost on some of the characters but it was cute and I can imagine reading in order would have been even better! I haven’t heard of a cheese ball before but I will definitely be looking out for one now haha but I do love the jelly worms got their spotlight too!

When Stella moves to New York for a job, she is excited but for some reason that she cannot understand she gets a call saying "they've decided to go another way". So now she has to figure out a way to pay rent, and all of her other job opportunities have dried up. She doesn't know what could have happened to cause all of these companies to not want her.

When her parents call Hugo, her brother's best friend, he agrees to hire her but is told to act like she doesn't know him. Even though, they have secretly been in love with each other for years. Stella finds Hugo's need for perfection entertaining and always tries to come up with a way to make his life a little more imperfect and make him smile. Will Stella learn Hugo's big secrets, because he has two of them?

Stella and Hugo's story was really good, I enjoyed how she is artistically talented and a little flighty while Hugo is stiff, rigid, and a mathematical genius. They balanced each other out and made a great couple. There were times I really had to concentrate on what he was saying so I could pick it up because he would talk technically. This was my first book by Annika Martin and I cannot wait to dive into more of her books.

Received ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review from Annika Martin and ValentinePR.

The Perfect Equation- Stella + Hugh

I love Annika Martin's writing. She does zany, quirky characters you want to collect the little bobble headed doll versions and display on your shelves as your besties! (I'm aware how creepy and weird it sounds but it's true!)

Our troop of quirky girls has gained a newbie. A transplant to NYC, Stella has quite the NYC experience. Shopowners attacking her and declaring her eating habits immoral; her one happy thing stolen by the crazied cheeseball lady. She loses her new job and has to rely on family friends to find a way to pay her rent.

Another laugh out loud billionaire romance with our favorite girls from NYC. This was such a fun & sweet story. This opposites attract, brothers best friend romance was full of plenty of fun, awkward moments, and of course snark & sass. The chemistry between Hugo and Stella was hot! This was full of spice, sass & swooning. I absolutely adored Stella, she is a smart, carefree fun loving woman, she fits right in with all the other ladies.
