The fun adventures continue. Sweet Paddington gets himself into more sticky situations and again, always manages to land on his feet.
To tell you the truth, although I've said before that I love Paddington as a character and as a TV show and not so much as books, reading this back in June in a sunny London park while eating sausage rolls and cake really got me into the right mood.
The poor benevolent Mrs Brown always tries to calm his husband down and be positive about Paddington's good intentions despite the bad results, but when Paddington has "a special reason for wanting to be alone", you can be sure it won't end well. I wouldn't be much better with wallpaper, though.
I'm not sure if it was the setting or the fact that I liked this more than the first book, but I will keep these in my Kindle for the moments when I need something light and innocent to read.

I didn’t think anything could beat “A bear called Paddington” but this was just everything I wanted and more.
I know I haven’t read many Paddington books but this one is my favourite so far.
What a joyful read ❤️

Calamity and accidents follow the sweet and kind Paddington everywhere. Though things seem to always work out for him and the Browns. There's gentle humour in this series, and Paddington is a lovely, well-meaning, little fellow.
I am seriously loving reading these with my 5 1/2 year old. There are some great memories being made reading about our favorite bear and all the craziness he goes through.
In this book Paddington takes a family picture, which ends up on display in the local photography shop, tries to decorate his bedroom with paint and wallpaper (you can guess how that goes!), becomes a detective, learns about Guy Fawkes Night and upsets Mr. Curry, plays in the snow and becomes ill, goes Christmas shopping and hands out Christmas gifts.
I think my little one enjoyed this book more than the first. She finished it by herself before we finished it together. Now we're on to the next book, Paddington Helps Out.
