This book was a little slow at the beginning but the pace quickly picked up and the story became very interesting. I am looking forward to reading Legends and Liars to see how this story concludes.

I couldn’t handle how naive the main character was in the beginning. I refuse to believe even teenagers are THAT oblivious to the fact that there is no way the society they live in is completely perfect.

And then when she starts to come around, it is only to still see good and evil as black and white and just swap who is who.

Ultimately this is fine and was entertaining but i wish it gave teens more credit.

I was excited to read this. At first it was great but when the main characters got thrown into the Queens Keep, a jail-like place. It dragged for a while. the climax seemed to get the pacing back up but at the same time it was so choatic it was hard to keep track of what was going down. There was a plot twist, which is what made me get involved in the story again.
