I was captured by this gothic tale of Hazel and Jack. I found the characters to be well developed and enjoyed the medical historical fiction. Hazel let's nothing stand in her way of becoming a female surgeon and Jack is a grave robber who steals her heart. Already reading the second book to see what happens next!
