I really liked this! A soap opera following the lives of a number of mostly gay people from their late twenties into adulthood proper. You really attach to all of the characters, who have such rich personalities; and who can cause you to feel frustration, sympathy, sadness and hope all in equal measure. In particular, Bechdel captures the passing of time so well and all of her characters change in some way over the 20 or so year it was written. Even for this straight male, it's so relatable in how life changes, especially from late twenties to late thirties. I'm hoping there's some more to read- did she finish writing it in 2008?!?!

I want to start with the fact that you don’t need to be familiar with the comic to enjoy this audio play.

This is a story told in 10 episodes, which works well as a format. The production quality is great and the cast does a lovely job. Especially enjoyed Jane Lynch’s narration. There is a wide cast of characters but it’s easy to keep track of who is who.
