I lost interest. The emotional immaturity of both of the main characters was getting tiresome, and I didn't want to waste time forcing myself to finish a book just for the sake of finishing it.

HA! I enjoyed the hell out of this book. Got me emotional in spots and laughing in others. Absolutely delightful! The twist I thought I saw coming still hasn't come. Maybe I'm overthinking. We'll see if it shows up in book three (which I will be starting immediately).
If you want a good, fast read with pirates and ship cats, and tangled, complicated emotions--pick up this series. You won't regret it.

Now THIS is how you do enemies to lovers (to enemies, to friends, to maybe lovers again?). Shout out to my Carissa Broadbent obsession for introducing me to Clare Sager's books - Vice and Knigh are delightful to read about, and this series speaks to my Jacky Faber-loving heart of old. 10/10 recommend!
