Stumbled on this book when I finished my other book, it was 4 am, I couldn't sleep, and I couldn't get another book because it was in the bedroom where my husband was sleeping. I found this through Overdrive.
I love that this picture book is bilingual and not in parallel text like most bilingual texts. The Spanish and English is woven into the same sentence. So the dominant sentence had both Spanish and English and then the supplemental sentence had both Spanish and English. It took a minute to get used to this format (and it was 4 am) but I really like it!
The illustrations were so cute - the goats had so much personality!! I especially liked the tortita de cabras :P And El Chupacabras is just misunderstood.

Gorgeous illustrations! I loved that this book was in English and Spanish in mixed sentences. Chupacabras scare me to death but this story was told with humor and made the scary mythical creature the hero. #weneeddiversebooks

This is [exactly] how a bilingual child would use their languages so I adore this book. Rubin always knocks it out of the park.

I really liked this book! The illustrations are amazing and those goats were so cute! The blend of Spanish and English is so cool. I talk like this with my bilingual friends so it was fun to read.
