It suffers from a mild case of middle book syndrome. Not much happens. I was listening to it with the text to voice feature of my reading app, and at times I just spaced out for a few minutes and I didn't feel like I missed anything. It wasn't totally boring, but still. Ivy's survival training is glossed over in book one, the training of the rest of the humans could have been the same. And that takes most of this book.

I can't believe I'm going to admit this...again... I loved the book and fell in love with AN ALIEN SPIDER FREAKING AGAIN!
Tiffany Roberts knows how to make a sequel that continues the story by adding more action, and important events that introduce more information about the alien world while strengthening the relationship between the characters. And all without being repetitive or less than the previous book.
In conclusion, excellent storytelling is accompanied by an original and creative world, a perfect amount of spice at the right moments and lovable characters with ideal chemistry.
