*4.5 A great book if you like Kings literary style but not his tangents and his tendency to be long winded in his writing. Some classic King horror mixed with his knack for coming of age tales makes this one a big hit.

This was my first Stephen King read and it was pretty good! The plot was a little predictable, nothing too out of what I was expecting happened but it was very well-written and I was engaged the whole time. Not a difficult read and the main character was funny. I wish the ending was more surprising, but this was a fun story to read.

This was a really fun and interesting quick little book! I loved King's writing with the humor undertone.

Probably my second fave of him. But some things were a little weird. I don't understand why the incest was thrown in there, "uncle harry" didnt even have an important role. He was in the nursing home the whole time. Maybe I'm missing the bigger picture, besides that i did really like it!
