desnecessária essa reviravolta final, e os personagens não tem tanta substância. mas, a relação do protagonista com a mãe é a maior força e qualidade que esse livro tem, e o velho ainda sabe evocar imagens horrendas, tensão e atmosfera como ninguém. uma pequena pérola no catálogo imenso do rei.

Ah, this was such a great, quick King novel! We follow Jamie Conklin, a young boy who can see and talk to dead people. His mother's ex-girlfriend, an NYPD detective, enlists him (or maybe kind of kidnaps him 😅) to help her solve a case. My only complaint is that I wanted more! I would have loved to see Jamie become a detective himself and use his ability for good. This could have been a whole series, King, and I would have purchased them all.
