well, the mask of the red death is the only story i enjoyed, and i'd read it before. sure the man knows how to write but god try to make it interesting maybe ? took me FIVE days to read a hundred pages. unbelievable

 This one wasn't for me. The time spent setting the stage was not worth the payoff, in my opinion.

Edgar Allan Poe is stunning in the creation of eerie atmospheres that draw you in.

It almost feels like we're going to be swallowed by the book and doomed to be amongst all the bloody revellers for all eternity.
