weirdly heavy in the final part of the book, featuring kidnapping etc. not by the main guy obviously it’s by some evil people but why? feels extremely out of place. romance was fine, characters alright and loved the underground cheese-shop plot line of course. overall a perfectly satisfying read but nothing that will stay on my mind neither in a positive nor negative way.

This would be a four star if it wasn’t sooo slow. I love Vlad and I think him and Noah are my favorite out of the guys but GEEZ that whole
Elena journalism storyline should’ve been omitted or made into a better story by telling it in a book more focused on her.
. I liked that Vlad was barely ever the type to get mad and stop talking to the other main character when there was a problem because those are the male main characters that really get on my nerves. I wish we got more of Vlad and Elena. Basically I’m giving this 3 stars because I’m disappointed this could’ve been so much better. It might be my fault though for expecting so much from the book about my favorite character from the series and tbh the one that is least spoken about.

Also I never knew 3 of the men in the book club were black!!?? I was putting that there was no diversity in my storygraph review when all along there was some.

This book was pretty lackluster. Though I really liked Vlad, I found Elena to be a little flat. I also found that all of the secondary characters didn't resemble actual people and instead felt like one-dimensional caricatures with repetitive schticks.

The dialogue between male characters also felt clearly like a woman trying to write idealized, "woke" men. Again, they just didn't talk naturally and so many scenes felt inorganic.

There were parts that were funny and sweet, but I don't think this book was a winner.
