Okay soo… this put me into a reading slump and it took WEEKS for me to finish, when I’ve been knocking out the previous books in 2-3 days 😞
One of my biggest pet peeves also happened… around 70% through this book, #3, I discovered that there’s a series that technically comes before this one and has a few characters in it. I’m cheesed. It all makes sense why I was so overwhelmed with character names and trying to move through the story, pretending like I knew who these people were & had context to things 🙄 I know that’s a reader error, I guess. But I didn’t see any advisement, at the start of book one, to begin with the series before this… I think I would’ve enjoyed these books more with knowing more backstory/lore…
I also thought the plot of this one was kinda all over the place, and it took me a long time to get on board with Axel having chapters. Is it bad that I’m not a Katya fan? I wanna be, don’t get me wrong, but she bugs me…
I’m not sure if I’ll read book #4 when it releases, we shall see… I really like Luka though so I just might, just for him lol
