Friends forever by Danielle Steel is an easy read which I needed at this time during a break.
I was really captivated by each of the 5 families lifestyles and how they all met. I loved how they all were individuals in a group of best friends, they all had their own thing and not pressurized to follow each other. I really felt for the siblings that felt pushed to the side. I found myself wanting to learn about them more than the actual best friends and parents.
There were a few sad bits, but then I started to get frustrated with all the little twists here and there which left me shouting at the characters.
Overall, a good book, anyway.

hm not good, so boring. This is just frustrating, needed way more dialogue in this. The writing style ??? THE WORST!
really, why killing 3 of the 5 main characters?? also i didn’t care about the characters ( sorry)
it doesn’t make you continue reading this, definitely not a good book, don’t recommend it, still it was not the worst thing i’ve ever read

Typical Danielle Steel. Loved the characters, but parts of the book seem to go by unnaturally fast. Good quick read.
I tried my best to like it, I really did. It's sort of a sin to dislike books with such messages but I really just could not stomach it.
I couldn't relate to any of the characters at all because they seemed so distant and what I really hated was Luckily I managed to pull through.
Now I feel like a horrible person because I really do think the underlying themes of the story are quite meaningful but really, what a clusterfuck.

how everyone kept dying. I know it's supposed to show the ~tragedy of life~ and everything but the way this is written... I can't see it. When Gabby died, I felt pretty sad and I also expected at least one MC death. But when Billy died, and then Andy (ANDY!?) died, I knew I was ready to stop reading. Now I feel like a horrible person because I really do think the underlying themes of the story are quite meaningful but really, what a clusterfuck.

This was a bit of a weird read. It jumps around a lot and I feel like so many details could have been stretched/added. It was a lot of up and down.

This story follows the lives of five close friends through multiple tragedies and choices. It reminds one of the complexities and unpredictability of life. Do not read if unprepared to deal with the topic of death or substance abuse.
Not that great, a lot of diagonal reading, but I finished it, so that's something. (btw, does no one edit those books, or am I the only one bothered by the repetitions and the weird sentence structure? It feels like a common DS problem to me. )
