The Defining Decade: Why Your Twenties Matter—And How to Make the Most of Them Now

My therapist recommended this book to me. Some chapters were super relatable on how I can getter make my twenties count for something. I shouldn’t be thinking “30s is the new 20s”. What I do in my 20s will lead me to what happens in my 30s.
me, reading this at 25: my life is up to me 😳😰😭🤢
me, reading this at 28: my life is up to me 😯😆😌🤩
enjoyed reading this and listening to it again as an audiobook! good reminder that even if you’re young (and think you have a lot of time - because you do but also don’t), you should take yourself seriously and live life intentionally. your future self will thank you later!

A good refresher, though containing lessons one might already know (for me, the teachings around work). Many think the 20s are a time of carefree obligation in areas like work, love, and life in general. However, Meg presses that these years are some of the most formative and may shape the way we live for the rest of our lives.
fun because I’m nosey and it was basically transcripts of other 20-somethings therapy sessions but woooooow 2012 and 2024 are very very different worlds
Enlightening book about how the twenty-something years are some of the most important and defining in our lives. How they are some of the most formative, even moreso than our childhood years. How the memories are some of the most vivid, the decisions the most life-changing, and the way we can make these years count the most. Recommended reading for anyone.
A great read in your 20s! Recommend to all 20somethings
It didn't say anything super groundbreaking if you're already someone who plans their life in 1, 5, and 10 year intervals but it was nice to read and have some of the messages about your twenties refined and reiterated.
